End is near for Snow White's Scary Adventures
![]() The last trips through Snow White's Scary Adventures, one of the original Disney World attractions, will be Thursday, May 31. Here's a look at the Fantasyland ride's past and Snow White's future. •The dark ride will be gutted and renovated to become Princess Fairytale Hall, a regal meet-and-greet area for Disney Princesses and theme-park guests. It will be open in "late 2013," Disney World says. It's part of the ongoing Fantasyland project that will double its size — the largest expansion in Magic Kingdom history. • The original version of the ride was very witch-centric, scarier and had a brief appearance by the dwarfs. A revamp in 1994 added more Snow, less fear, a scene with the prince with the waking-up Snow, more dwarf sightings plus Dopey waving goodbye to riders. •Among the other original attractions still operating at Magic Kingdom are Jungle Cruise, Swiss Family Treehouse, Country Bear Jamboree, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, It's a Small World, Cinderella's Golden Carrousel (now known as Prince Charming Regal Carrousel) and the Grand Prix Raceway (now called Tomorrowland Speedway). •After Scary Adventures is shuttered, there still will be ways to spot Snow White. She appears in the afternoon parade ("Celebrate a Dream Come True") and in the Main Street Electrical Parade at night. She dances with her prince during the "Dream Along With Mickey" show at the stage in front of Cinderella Castle. And she will be making appearances, along with other princesses, at the front of the park near Town Square. (You can also catch her periodically at the Germany pavilion at Epcot.) •The final piece of the Fantasyland expansion will be the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, an indoor-outdoor roller coaster believed to include Snow White's cottage. Disney says the ride will be complete in 2014. •Operating hours for Magic Kingdom on the final days of Snow White's Scary Adventures will be 9 a.m.-10 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m.-midnight on Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m.-10 p.m. on Monday, 9 a.m.-11 p.m. on Tuesday, 9 a.m.-10 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. |

RE: End is near for Snow White's Scary Adventures
Sad to hear of a ride closing but great to hear that there are new things to come
.Sounds like they are making it the same as the recently opened Princess Pavillion over at DLRP. Might not be a great idea though as the queues for it are insane. Everyday people queued up for almost 2 hours before it even opened! |

I loved riding that. They are doing a lot of stuff for the fantasyland expansion and will be good to see it when everything is done.
